It looks like another variant of the Cornflicker worm may be striking soon, and unfortunately, this isn't an early April Fools joke either. The Conficker worm, sometimes called Downadup or Kido has managed to infect a large number of computers. Specifics are hard to come by, but some researchers estimate that millions of computers have been infected with this threat since January.

As always, Symantec advises home users to make sure their security software is up to date with the latest antivirus signatures and to enable their systems’ automatic security updates.
